World Religions and Comparing them to Christianity.

This class led by Ingrid Linglemeets Sunday at 9:15 AM in the Luther Room.

Bible Study led by Jeff Smith.

Meets Sunday in the ACE building (blue portable) at 9:15 AM.
This is an exciting class that just finished the Book of James. The next book to be studied is the Book of Galatians, An excerpt from Luther's comments in the Lutheran Study Bible states "Paul’s letter to the Galatians was addressed to a group of churches in Galatia, a region of present-day Turkey. Paul had preached the gospel in these churches. He wrote to counter those who taught that Christians must be circumcised in order to be accepted by God. Perhaps the central message of Galatians is “a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ” (2:16). Paul wrote this letter sometime between a.d. 48 and 55."

Discussion of Current Events

This class meets Sunday 10:30 am in the Luther Room in Fellowship Hall Jack Davis facilitates a discussion of a topic that is relevant to our lives. A current event that is in the news will be talked about and how it relates to Biblical teaching and living a Christian life. In the latter part of 2011 we studied "What's a Christian Worldview " , watched an informative DVD entitled "One Nation Under God" with noted historian David Barton, and began previewing a series entitled " Doing the Right Thing" a timely discussion of ethics in public life by the Colson Center. New members are welcome in all classes.
