Sunday ACE classes meet at 9:40am
Class led by Jeff Smith meets in the ACE (Portable) Building
Jeff's class is studying the Book of Romans.
Class led by Dean & Kathy Krueger meets in the Luther Room
Although the Luther Room A.C.E. class will NOT meet on May 7 (Confirmation) or May 14 (Mother's Day), a new topic, "Paul's Coworkers and Converts," will begin on May 21 and continue through June. Please join us as we study how our church's namesake drew loyal and committed followers to himself....and Christ! How did the Gospel message, introduced by a little-known Galilean named Jesus, spread from a small and comparatively insignificant region to become the largest religion in the world? We will read how the Holy Spirit inspired a few other "insignificant" locals, and, as a result, by 100 A.D. hundreds of Christian churches could be found throughout the known world. Come hear the scriptural references to these men and women, and we might find ourselves inspired to be more like them!
Class led by Mike Scott meets in the Choir Room
This seven-session small group Bible study, Walking with God in the Desert, by noted teacher and historian, Ray Vander Laan, is volume twelve of the 12-part Faith Lessons series. Are you going through a difficult period of life? The loss of a loved one? Unemployment? A crisis of faith? During these desert times, it’s easy to think God has disappeared. In Walking with God in the Desert you’ll discover that it’s only when we are totally dependent on him that we find God is closer than ever and can experience his amazing grace and provision. Filmed on location in Israel, Faith Lessons is a unique video series that brings God's Word to life with astounding relevance. By weaving together the Bible's fascinating historical, cultural, religious, and geographical contexts, teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan reveals unique insights into the Scriptures' significance for modern believers.
Class led by Ingrid Lingle meets in the office area workroomIn May our class will be starting a new study called "Faces of the Reformation". Eighteen different people, some less known, will be studied, some of them
that were for the Reformation and some of them that were bitterly opposed.
Weekday ACE Class
Women’s class led by Connie Osborn meets on Tuesday from 9AM to 11AM in the Choir Room
Sisters in Christ Jesus, please consider and pray about learning more about God's holy word. And if Monday mornings fits your schedule please join us. I am so thankful to God our Father for St Paul and the opportunity to study and learn with my sisters who attend our class. We will begin Volume 9 Fire on the Mountain by Ray Vander Laan on April 11, 2017. When the Israelites left Egypt, they were finally free. Free from persecution, free from oppression and free to worship their own God. But with that freedom comes a new challenge-- learning how to live together the way God intends. In this ninth volume of Faith Lessons, discover how God teaches the Israelites what it means to be part of a community that loves Him and the lessons we can begin to live out in our lives today. It will be 12 weeks long. See the Bible come alive with 6 videos with discussion and 6 homework discussions. Contact Connie Osborn 830-885-7592 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you decide to join the Study contact Connie so a study book can be ordered.
