WHAT TO EXPECT
EVERY SUNDAY IS SOMEBODY'S FIRST SUNDAY
Here at St Paul we understand how intimidating your first Sunday can be. We want to be an inviting community who create a welcoming atmosphere for first (and second, and third...) time visitors.
WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICES LIKE?
We have a Traditional service at 8:30 AM and a Modern service at 10:45 AM. Both of them run approximately 70 minutes and have a 20-25 minute sermon.
The Traditional service is a classic Lutheran expression of worship, involving sacred music, some liturgy, and a celebration of the Lord's Supper.
The Modern Service is less structured and features worship music from the last 5-6 years, along with a weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper.
Both services are "come as you are," with casual dress encouraged.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Expect to be greeted by a friendly face when you come through the door. Ask our ushers and greeters any questions you may have, and take a seat wherever you'd like.
AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE?
Here at St Paul we believe that giving is an act of worship. However newcomers are under no obligation to give, nor will they be questioned about their finances.
WHERE DO KIDS GO DURING SERVICES?
We are a multi-generational church and have Sunday School classes going on in between services starting at 9:40 AM. Children of all ages are encouraged to join the class for their age group. Because we believe it's important for kids to worship with their parents, we have a short children's message during the service and then let the kids take part in the rest of worship with their families.
A nursery is provided during worship services for children who are feeling antsy. It is located in the southwest corner of the Christian Faith Center (CFC). A wonderful, caring, fully-staffed nursery is provided while you attend any of the services.
